Deem has launched a ground transportation technology platform, Ground Work, within its Work Fource platform to provide policy-relevant ride options for travel bookers. The platform uses traveler preferences and past behavior to target choices.
Two More Travel Agencies Will Resell Deem
Kintetsu International Express and Duluth Travel will resell Deem's business travel management solutions, which include Deem Work Fource travel booking and management tools, the Deem Ground Work transportation booking tool and Deem's integrated Intelligent Attach. Deem struck a similar deal with Adelman this month.
Adelman Will Resell Deem Work Fource
Adelman Travel Group will resell Deem's Work Fource corporate travel booking and management software as part of an expanded sales and marketing relationship between the two companies. Adelman was the first travel management company to deploy Deem's new Intelligent Attach feature, which provides travelers with hotel and car service recommendations based on personal preferences, behavior patterns and corporate policies. The expanded arrangement extends through 2020.
Trivago Makes a Tech Acquisition That Bolsters an Industry Trend
Last year, business travel company Deem acquired Olset, which had developed a hotel recommendation service based on machine learning. Serko, a corporate booking player in New Zealand, has been working on some tools in-house. Nara, a similar data analytics company — but one focused on consumers — does not appear to have set the world on fire. A German startup Nekst has sputtered out.
Deem Sells Back-Office Ground Transportation Tech
Deem has sold its back office car service system Voyageur to ground transportation company GroundWidgets. GroundWidgets plans to move acquired Voyageur customers "seamlessly... to our flagship product, SantaCruz, or one of our other cloud-based operators," according to GroundWidgets CEO Apurva Patel.
Certify acquires Nutravel's online booking tool
Certify has acquired NuTravel's corporate online booking tool for an undisclosed amount, the expense management company confirmed. NuTravel will continue to operate its Airline Solutions business independently. The tech company builds and powers business-to-business booking portals for airlines like JetBlue and Air Canada.
Deem work fource integrates focuspoint international cap
Deem's Work Fource platform, which launched in April, has incorporated FocusPoint International's Crisis Assistance Plus to expand duty of care functions on a single platform for joint clients. CAP includes access to destination-based health, safety and security information; itinerary-based traveler tracking; on-demand access to travel security and medical specialists; and in-country assistance, including physical evacuations.
And the first NDC-certified TMC is...W Travel
New York- based W Travel has staked its claim as the first corporate travel management company to achieve New Distribution Capability certification from the International Air Transport Association. W Travel earned its NDC stripes by working with American Airlines through a relationship facilitated by Frosch, of which W Travel is an affiliate.
BCD, CWT To Launch Mobile Air Booking As TMCs Evolve Role In Mobile Transactions
Carlson Wagonlit Travel plans to introduce full airline shopping and booking capabilities within its CWT To Go app later this year. BCD Travel, too, confirmed mobile "air booking in TripSource is in development."

American Express Global Business Travel Makes Ground Transport Play With Mozio
Travel and expense tech provider Deem also has been working to improve ground transport booking options. In July it announced that Lyft is available through its system, as is Dav El BostonCoach and Empire CLS. That system now also matches a traveler’s trip details to the best ground transportation options, based on the traveler’s profile, location, time and any relevant corporate policies. “It also tracks changes in travel, such as a delayed flight to automatically update the ride reservation and keep users informed,” according to Deem information.

Deem Announces Expanded Partnerships With Dav El/BostonCoach and Empire CLS
Deem, a mobile and cloud technology provider for the business travel industry, announced expanded partnerships with Dav El/BostonCoach and EmpireCLS. The chauffeured ground transportation providers will integrate their offerings into Deem’s Work Fource, a travel software platform used by more than 35,000 corporations and travel management companies around the world.
Deem Launches Facebook Messenger Chatbot
Deem is building out its Work Fource platform with a Facebook Messenger chatbot and integrations with chauffeured transportation providers. Additionally, the company has added Lyft to its ground transportation offering and made Intelligent Attach live in Work Fource.
